Description

Both ECDIS units (Furuno FMD-3200, software v03.22) and the S-band radar are running a version no longer supported by the maker, and the flag administration has flagged this during the last navigational audit. We need an authorised Furuno service station to attend in Hamburg, upgrade both ECDIS units and the radar processor to the latest approved release, restore and verify the chart licences and route library, carry out harbour acceptance testing with the Master and Second Officer, and issue updated software conformity certificates for the vessel's document file. The bridge must remain operational overnight, so the works are to be planned unit by unit rather than both ECDIS offline at the same time.
